R.A. Miller (1912-2006)
A life-long resident of Rabbittown, GA, RA painted in his yard which overflowed with scraps of roof tin that he cut up to create his exotic animals, fish and Blow Oskars (and was once the location of an REM music video).
RA’s paintings and cut-outs are on album covers and in museums and galleries, and he was particularly proud to have several pieces on permanent display in the Smithsonian.
In 2004, RA lost his vision due to an eye infection and was moved into a local nursing home. He passed away in March 2006.
