Mose Tolliver (1915 – 2006)

Mose T, a lifelong Alabama resident, began painting in his mid-50s after suffering a crippling accident at work.

Extremely prolific, Mose T is admired for portraits he painted on Masonite in highly sophisticated hues using ordinary house paint.

Mose T was once a guest at the Reagan White House while in Washington, DC for a show of his work at the highly prestigious Corcoran Gallery of Art.
